Sealed. Founded in Havana around 1850 by Juan Antonio Bances and Julián Álvarez Granda, Henry Clay was named after the celebrated nineteenth-century American statesman and became one of Cuba’s most successful export brands. In 1883, production moved to the impressive factory at Calzada de Luyano No. 100, known locally as La Loma. The company later became Henry Clay & Bock Ltd.
