Lot 502 - Waterford Hook Head 1.1

Released as part of Waterford's Single Farm Origin Series, Hook Head 1.1 has been made exclusively with Irish Propino barley from its namesake farm's 2015 harvest. This expression has been matured in.a combination of casks: first-fill bourbon barrels, American oak and French oak casks for three years and eight months. A maritime dram, the nose has sea spray, salted caramel and citrus peel. The palate has a rich texture with notes of earthy maltiness, clove, white pepper, ginger biscuits and a slight touch of salted popcorn with a long and oily finish.
